The Beautiful Exchange…

When we give the Father our cares, concerns, anxieties, worries and fears, this is what the Lord Almighty hands us in return:

We get peace. We get protection. We have a Savior who will stand guard over our hearts and minds.

This beautiful exchange carries more weight than any anxieties you can bear. This amazing gift is worth more than any care you may carry. The beautiful exchange saves our very lives and it improves our quality of life.

The Father desires all of our weight, we were never intended to carry the burden of the world-or our worlds.

Hand the Father your world and watch Him give you life.

Power of Praise…

Music can produce emotions and feelings. Christmas songs tend to either get us into the Christmas spirit. Songs from your childhood tend to invoke feelings of nostalgia. The right worship song will make us a blubbering mess.

Praise and music are often connected. Praise and worship songs. Praise and worship leaders tend to direct the choir or musical ensemble of a church. Praise can be defined also as commendation, being approved, or admired, and a grateful acknowledgement in words or song. We may praise our children and spouses, along with other things, but we tend to use praise to express ourselves to the Lord.

Praise is an act of worship to the Lord, as evidenced multiple times throughout scripture. However, did you also know that praise has power? Let’s look to the Word:

Praise caused the foundations to shake! Imagine what power we would experience in our lives if we opted to praise instead of worry! Imagine the foundations shaking as you make a joyful noise unto the Lord! Imagine if we opted to dance our way through our tears, frustrations, and pains! Imagine the chains falling as you praise the Lord! There is power in your praise!

Friend, displaying our admiration to the Lord will shake the foundations of our very lives! Walls come down as we sing our worship songs. Singing thank you to the Lord helps us move from being ungrateful to thankfulness. Your acts of worship eliminates the worries! Your “holy, holy, holy” sends your cares to the Lord!

Let praise be what you do! The world tells us to cry and weep but do you see what Isaiah tells us? The Lord responded to praise! Your tears matter to the Father but it will be your praise that initiates a response!

Activate the power that is given you by way of the Holy Spirit with a sound of praise!

Weary One…

Dear friend, 2020 has been quite the year! And we can imagine that it has left you feeling tired, worn, and downright weary. With the increasing amount of uncertainty, it makes it hard to keep fighting that good of faith.

Fret not, weary one-you have the Lord on your side! Our Lord, the conqueror of death is right there with you! Your fight is not in vain! Feeling weary? Feeling exhausted? Run to the Word of God! Scripture tells us that we shouldn’t get weary in well doing:

Did you hear Him? Don’t give up! Your harvest is right around the corner, your deliverance is right around the corner, your freedom is right around the corner! Weary one, we know it’s tough and it feels like you are in a season of drought. Keep fighting, the rain is coming!

The planting is tough because you are unable to see the breaking of the ground. It’s difficult because you are unable to see that growth is occurring. You get tired of watching, you get tired of waiting, you are ready for the breaking! Stand firm, the breaking is coming! Stand on faith! His faithfulness withstands the test of time.

Be driven, not by what you see but what He said! Don’t forget those promises He has whispered to you. Sis, they are manifesting! This is NOT the time to give up! Quite the contrary, this is the time to go hard! This is the time to press forward. This is the time to rejoice. The ground may not appear to be broken, but trust in Him, the harvest is on the way! Wait for that petal to sprout, your hard work is not in vain and God is not a man that He should lie. The beautiful field will appear at the proper time!

Weary one, go before your Father, receive His rest, experience His joy, and release those burdens. Once you do, stand up and continue to do good, the harvest is coming.

The Art of Casting…

To cast can mean throwing something in a specific direction…

So as believers we are called to cast our cares, anxieties, or worries on Christ because He cares for us.

The Lord tells us the direction in which to cast our worries, and that is on Him, because He cares for us. We have our direction and our directive. So how many of us does this scenario describe?

We go through a tough situation. We worry, we fret, we become anxious and nervous. So we go before the Lord, crying, pleading, and begging. We vent and we get up and we move on. Sometimes we leave the cares there and sometimes we place the cares right back on our shoulders.

There is an art to casting. In order to throw something in a specific direction, it takes concentration and focus. We have to have our eyes on the desired target. Many times we neglect to properly cast our cares on the Lord because we aren’t focused on Him, we are focused on the worries and anxieties. Without clarity and focus, we will miss what the Master is trying to do for us.

Casting requires intentionality. We don’t cry and vent to the Lord just to pick the concerns back up. We cast and we leave the cares there because our Father knows best. We cast our cares because He is built for the burdens and concerns.

Casting produces peace, joy, and hope. Casting reminds us that He is the Shepherd and we are the flock. Casting reminds us that He is our Rock and our Redeemer.

May we all perfect the art of casting.

Weariness of Worrying…

What has been accomplished by worrying? Has God moved faster? Did a million dollars magically appear in your bank account? Did that paper that’s due end up writing itself?

If you answered yes to any of those questions? Please let Sisters Helping Sisters know! ☺ But chances are, you answered no to all of those questions. And that’s a good thing!

Worrying is tiresome. Just downright exhausting. It makes you weary. It taps you of your strength. It strips you of your peace. And it is evidence that you aren’t trusting God and that you are trusting all in yourself.

Why subscribe to the weariness of worry when you can believe in the promise of peace? Why believe in the agony of anxiety when you can attach yourself to the promise of provision? Anxiety and worry gets you nowhere, friend.

God makes it plain and simple for us to understand. So let’s stop worrying, it yields no fruit! When you want to worry and become anxious, instead of running to yourself or the world’s logic, let’s run to the word of God:

“So I tell you, don’t worry about the things you need to live—what you will eat, drink, or wear. Life is more important than food, and the body is more important than what you put on it. Look at the birds. They don’t plant, harvest, or save food in barns, but your heavenly Father feeds them. Don’t you know you are worth much more than they are? If God makes what grows in the field so beautiful, what do you think he will do for you? It’s just grass—one day it’s alive, and the next day someone throws it into a fire. But God cares enough to make it beautiful. Surely he will do much more for you. Your faith is so small! That’s what those people who don’t know God are always thinking about. Don’t worry, because your Father in heaven knows that you need all these things. So don’t worry about tomorrow. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Tomorrow will have its own worries.” Matthew 6:25‭-‬26‭, ‬30‭, ‬32‭-‬32‭, ‬34 ERV

Stop wearing the weariness of worry and put on the joy of the Lord.

More Than A Conqueror…

Conquer: to overcome and take control of; successfully overcome; climb successfully.

That definition describes who you are in Christ! Let’s look to the Word:

You are no longer a slave to your circumstances, desires, and past. Perhaps you are wondering how to overcome, how to take control of, how to climb over the issues that having been plaguing you forever? Perhaps you’ve tried before and just couldn’t do it? Be encouraged! The way we conquer, take control of, and climb over is through Christ Jesus! Our victory isn’t accomplished by our “…own strength and power…” We can’t do it on our own. Our “help will come from my Spirit.’ This is what the Lord All-Powerful says.” (Zechariah 4:6, Easy to Read Version)

Being more than a conqueror permits you to overcome, which is exciting enough, but it permits you also to take control of (insert whatever it may be here…)! To take control is trusting, surrendering and submitting to the Lord in the supernatural and doing what’s necessary in the natural.

The declaration in the supernatural has natural responsibilities.

The declaration of freedom from depression and anxiety means you have to seek out the appropriate resources in the natural in order to take control of those issues.

The conquering of worry requires you to lean on the Lord for understanding and direction.

Overcoming a toxic relationship requires a complete break from that individual.

And you can do it! Being more than a conqueror is a promise guaranteed to His children because of the finished work of Christ on the cross! Our Father’s words never return to Him empty.

So sisters, stand in the power and authority granted to you by the Holy Spirit. Operate yourselves as conquerors! As a child of God, it is your God-given right to successfully overcome, to climb successfully, and to take control of. Take refuge in the identity established by God the Father. You are who God says you are, and He has declared that you are more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus, trust Him at His word!

My friend, “overwhelmingly victory” belongs to you (Romans 8:37, New Living Translation). Take hold of it and never let go.
