God of the Impossible…

Impossible is probably a word we use quite often or we will use a version of it: “that can’t be done”, “that won’t work”, “it will never happen”. Our eyes and our minds cannot fathom the impossible. However, if we think about it long enough, we know Someone who specializes in achieving the impossible! Let’s look to the Word:

Our Father specializes in the impossible! Amen?! Oh friends, if we can just imagine how mighty and powerful our God truly is, we would be scaling those mountains instead of bowing to them! If we can just grasp, how God created the universe-we would be able to accomplish that “impossible”.

There is absolutely NOTHING too hard for God! Write it, post it, repeat it everyday-there is nothing too hard for God! He accomplishes the impossible everyday. Will we trust in the One who specializes in the impossible? Will we give Him the dreams we fantasize about? The desire that just won’t go away? The prayer we’ve been praying since the beginning of time? And will we believe that He can do it? Trust in your Creator, He is for you!

“Dream big” may sound cliche but it’s what we are called to do. So go on and dream big! Fight that diagnosis in prayer, trust that life can be produced in a declared barren womb, and believe in the plan you have of being debt free! Put His promise into action. Make His promise the decree for your life. Don’t just shout on this truth, stand on it.

We know, we trust, and we lean on the God of the Impossible!

Salvation is available to all who desire it. Being saved is all about knowing Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. If you don’t know Christ as your Lord and Savior, pray this prayer with us:

“Father, I confess with my heart that Jesus Christ is Lord and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead. Thank you Father for saving me. In Jesus’s name, Amen.”

Congratulations, your salvation journey has now begun! If you prayed that prayer, let us know by emailing us at sistershelpingsisters757@gmail.com so we can continue supporting you on your journey!

The Issues of Life…

The woman with the issue of blood ran to Jesus because of her issue. She knew that Jesus could solve her issue. She pressed her way through the crowd to touch the hem of His garment and she was made whole:

When she left Jesus, her issue stayed at His feet.

Aside from Jesus, the woman with the issue of blood should be role model. When she had a problem, she didn’t run to her girlfriends, she didn’t run to her mama, or her daddy-she went to the only One who could solve her problem!

Let’s be committed to run to Jesus for our issues and leave them at His feet! This is not saying that we shouldn’t attend the doctor or that we don’t pursue wise counsel. However, if we start with Jesus-He will point us in the right direction! When we start at Jesus, He will become bigger than the issue. The woman crawled through the crowd-don’t miss the lesson here! It was an active demonstration of the appropriate position of our issues and problems-at the feet of Jesus!

It’s New Year Eve. Before the watch night service, before the party, before the dinner party with our family and friends, make your way to the feet of Jesus with your 2020 issues. Be determined not to enter into 2021 with those same annoyances. Minimize those problems and issues, they belong at the feet of Jesus.

Let’s walk into 2021 set free and made whole because we chose to trust in the Lord. Let’s be committed to enter into 2021 well!

Happy New Year from Sisters Helping Sisters!

Labor and Delivery…

There may be many terms that define this year:

Unsettling

Unstable

Difficult

Challenging

Rough

And the list goes on.

And perhaps the above terms may describe this year for you. No one can negate that, however consider this perspective: what if the Lord was using this time to birth something within you? What if this tough, rough, and challenging year was your labor pains?

Think about childbirth. Labor, for some, is a hard, exhausting process. And for others, while they may have had some contractions, the laboring process wasn’t as difficult. However, all labor require some pain, some discomfort, and blood or sweat or tears.

The labor, once completed, produces this beautiful child. The labor is worth it, wouldn’t one say?

So what if this year were your labor pains? What if this was your time of discomfort, pain, and tears? Will you trust the Father with what’s coming? Your beautiful “child” is on its way! Maybe for some, it will be the birth of a new business. For some, it may be a rebirth for a struggling marriage. For others, it may be the birth of a book, a new career, or simply a new perspective.

We can’t promise that in 2021, the labor will be over. However, because we are in Christ, we can promise you that it’ll be worth it! The pain will produce a blessing. This pandemic may be a defining moment but it will not define you.

We can guarantee that the Lord, our God, is doing a new thing!

Your labor is not in vain. You are about to deliver a more profound faith! You are about to deliver a stronger relationship with the Lord! You are about to give birth to a steadfast walk in the Lord! You are about to birth your purpose, your mission, and your vision!

My friend, labor on just a little while longer! Pace that breath, P.U.S.H, and hold on to the Father’s hand! Cry out and endure just a little while longer. We know this year has been tough, but the Lord is with you. We know that this year has been unstable, but the Lord is our rock, our firm foundation. We know this year has been uncomfortable, just cling to the Holy Spirit who is our Comforter.

What you are about to birth, won’t compare to the pain you’ve experiencing. Just keeping P.U.S.H-ing

The Chief Cornerstone…

The function of a cornerstone: “The cornerstone (or foundation stone or setting stone) is the first stone set in the construction of a masonry foundation. All other stones will be set in reference to this stone, thus determining the position of the entire structure.” (Wikipedia)

While this may be the definition for a masonry foundation, this definition must be relevant to the life of a believer or God through Jesus Christ. Christ is our chief cornerstone and without Him, the whole foundation will fall apart.

All that we do, all that we are, all that we will be is because of the finished work of Jesus Christ. Our existence is because He is and is to come. Without Christ, we would not be able to stand.

The strength of our structures will be determined by the foundation. Christ is chief cornerstone of our lives, not our families, our nice budgets, or degrees. The stones, when properly placed, will strengthen our structures.

We have to move beyond placing our life in compartments. Christ cannot be in our careers but not our social lives. We need Him to be in all of our relationships, professional and personal. He belongs as the cornerstone of our finances and families. And with Him as the foundation, there is no trial or tribulation that will crack His foundation.

May all things of our life be filtered through this question: who is our chief cornerstone?

I Want It All!

Being a child of God, we are naturally promised His blessings and gifts. What an honor and privilege that is?! We should rejoice in being able to receive God’s best! We want it all, right?!

However, as we grow in relationship with God the Father and Christ the Savior, we recognize that we are not only recipients of God’s promises, we are also burdened with persecution, trials, and tribulations. We experience the impact of weapons as they are formed against us.

Wanting all that God has for you comes with promises and blessings and problems and persecutions. All that He has for you involves trials and triumphs. And sometimes God’s best is best experienced when we have encountered the pang of a weapon that has formed against us.

We are here to tell you, friend, all that God has for you involves trials. All that God has for you involves suffering. All that God has for you involves some suffering. However, take refuge in the fact that He is not here to beat us down and it does not make Him glad to see us suffer, quite the contrary! He knows that trials weaken the flesh but strengthen the spirit. He knows that overcoming obstacles helps us understand the meaning of victory. He knows that with suffering we develop a deeper and more intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit as our Comforter.

Should we still want all He has for us?! Absolutely! We may suffer but He promises to strengthen and restore us! We may experience rejection but He knows that He will confirm us and we will be accepted by Him. We may suffer but we are blessed! He knows that the persecution experienced on Earth cannot begin to compare to the eternal glory that awaits us in Heaven.

Let’s want ALL that God has for us! Even if we have to proclaim it with fear and trembling. No matter the weapon, it won’t prosper. No matter the obstacles, we will more than conquer it. No matter the fire, it will not consume us.

Our Father in glory has a crown of life that awaits us.

The Grand Finale…

We bet you can remember the series finale of your favorite tv show. You scheduled your whole evening around catching that moment. Sometimes the series finale was sweet and complete and other times, you may have walked away disappointed. And there may be those moments when you were just left with a big whole question mark!

In Christ, we don’t have to wonder about how the story will end. We don’t have to wonder about what’s going to happen. We don’t have to wonder if there is going to be a part two to the story. The Father is so awesome and gives it to us straight:

Friends, this right here is enough to make you shout! No more tears! No more pain! No more sorrow! No more death! He will come back to wipe those tears! Never again do we have to worry about pain, cancer, riots, elections-those things are passing away!

Clinging to this is important, now and for always. This is why we preach. This is why we minister. This is why we keep on praying for our loved ones to get saved! So they can experience this-the love of the Father! We preach Christ because in Him there will be a new Heaven and Earth! We get to spend the rest of eternity crying out “holy, holy, holy” and basking in the glory of our Savior.

The finale, friends, is greater than any sitcom or drama you’ve seen. This finale, friends, is indeed grand! You may say: that’s nice but what about COVID? What about the results of this election? What about systematic racism? All great concerns, of course. However, as you encounter tomorrow and the day after that: consider it all, whatever burdens you, whatever plagues you, consider it in the light of eternity, consider the grand finale.

“For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison…” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:17‬

Remember The Time…

There’s a song by Michael Jackson called “Remember The Time”. He’s encouraging his love interest to remember their love story and relationship. The intention is that he hopes as his love interest remembers the good times, she’ll be drawn back to him. It is, as the young kids say, a bop. Remembering can help one to recognize how sweet things use to be, remembering helps us maintain hope, and remembering helps us to be encouraged.

Friends, when we are in our dry seasons and droughts, we need to remember the time as well. Remember the time God saved you. Remember the time the Lord wrapped you in His arms. Remember the Lord, your God, who brought you out of your Egypt. We don’t need to look to the lyrics of that Michael Jackson song to remember the time, we need to look to the Word of God.

Will you recall? Will you remember? We know it’s dry right now but remember His wonderful deeds of long ago! Remember how He put food on your table, remember how He healed you, remembered how He protected you from hurt, harm, and danger! Remember how our Father snatched you from the snares of the enemy! It’s important to remember His word, remember His promises, and to remember the miracles He’s performed. The Word of God was written to tell His story and to etch in our memory who the Lord, our God, is to those who believe.

Friends, we cannot forget the goodness of the Lord! We cannot forget His faithfulness! We cannot afford to forget the majesty, dominion, and power of the Lord! This is why it is important to hear the testimonies of those in the kingdom of God. This is why we have to proclaim our testimonies! Someone needs to hear your story so that they can remember the time!

Let His deeds of long ago help you to remember who He is and what He will do for you.

Peace and Blessings

Weary One…

Dear friend, 2020 has been quite the year! And we can imagine that it has left you feeling tired, worn, and downright weary. With the increasing amount of uncertainty, it makes it hard to keep fighting that good of faith.

Fret not, weary one-you have the Lord on your side! Our Lord, the conqueror of death is right there with you! Your fight is not in vain! Feeling weary? Feeling exhausted? Run to the Word of God! Scripture tells us that we shouldn’t get weary in well doing:

Did you hear Him? Don’t give up! Your harvest is right around the corner, your deliverance is right around the corner, your freedom is right around the corner! Weary one, we know it’s tough and it feels like you are in a season of drought. Keep fighting, the rain is coming!

The planting is tough because you are unable to see the breaking of the ground. It’s difficult because you are unable to see that growth is occurring. You get tired of watching, you get tired of waiting, you are ready for the breaking! Stand firm, the breaking is coming! Stand on faith! His faithfulness withstands the test of time.

Be driven, not by what you see but what He said! Don’t forget those promises He has whispered to you. Sis, they are manifesting! This is NOT the time to give up! Quite the contrary, this is the time to go hard! This is the time to press forward. This is the time to rejoice. The ground may not appear to be broken, but trust in Him, the harvest is on the way! Wait for that petal to sprout, your hard work is not in vain and God is not a man that He should lie. The beautiful field will appear at the proper time!

Weary one, go before your Father, receive His rest, experience His joy, and release those burdens. Once you do, stand up and continue to do good, the harvest is coming.

Peace and Blessings

Stay the Course…

Friend,

We know the road has been tough, full of disappointments and disruptions but we want you to stay the course. Your loved ones, those who are coming up behind you, generations to come are depending on you to stay the course! Staying focused helps you meet the goal, the course will shape your identity and define your purpose. Staying the course will lead you to Christ. Friend, you must stay the course.

You can make it! You will get through! With God, ALL things are possible. And with God, you can stay the course. It’s not about who finishes first but it’s all about who endures to the end. Will you hop over the hurdles? Will you ignore the distractions? Will you let those things and people that stand in your way be the fuel you need to propel forward? Your race matters to the kingdom of God. Your race helps us all make it to the end! You are not alone, your family in Christ are right there with you!

Listen, stay the course! Set your sights on the finish line! Let the exhortation of Paul be your motivation:

The road is long and hard. It gets tough. Friends leave you. Family can hurt you. You have to sacrifice and forsake those things that feel good to your flesh. But it’s all worth it in the end! We can guarantee that the prize is greater than the pain. We can guarantee that the promise will manifest. We can guarantee that victory will be yours. The guarantee isn’t in this world or in your capabilities, the guarantee is in Christ Jesus, our Lord!

When it is all said and done, staying the course and completing the task will yield this beautiful result:

“…Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.” Matthew 25:23

Stay the course, sis! It will all be worth it in the end!

Empty Prayers…

Empty Prayers may be considered an oxymoron but they are quite possible. Praying requires action. It’s more than getting down on your knees, pacing the floor, writing in the journal or whatever method you may utilize. It requires believing in their content.

A comic once said, “do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth?” Today, consider that same question, consider the content of your prayers! Do you believe in what you are saying to God?

Do we believe the promise of 1 John 5:14-15?

One way to examine your prayers is in your reaction to the threats of the world. If you’ve prayed for protection, will you trust in your Protector when fiery arrows are sent your way? If you prayed for healing, are you walking in your healing? Will you believe God for the provision you’ve prayed for? We should walk away from our prayer time relieved and free. We believe God, right?!

The Lord tells us that His words won’t return to Him void. Our prayers shouldn’t be void as we send them to Him either. We must believe in the words we pray. We must believe in the God to whom we pray. We must believe Him for His promises. We must believe in who He is! As we pray His will, as we pray His word, as we pray His promises, He will respond!

Do you believe the prayers you are praying?

Fill your prayers with faith!
