All of Me…

Sisters, let’s be intentional about giving all of ourselves-the beautiful and the messy parts-to the Lord. This can be a challenging task. Women are taught to be presentable at all times. Women are taught that no one will want them if they are too much: too vulnerable, too emotional, too needy. Now here comes the One who says He loves all of us-our endless tears, the snort that comes with a hearty laugh, and the frustrations that so easily beset us. That can be hard to believe but it is absolutely the truth:

The Lord loves all of you-the parts you were told were unlovable, the Lord can handle it. The “hot mess” that you frequently call yourself is considered the apple of His eye. So if the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings is so in love with you, why do you hold back parts of yourself from Him? Declare today that it shall be no more!

Let us pray with you: Lord, may the beautiful woman of God whom encounters this post declare today that she will surrender all of herself to you. You are the Creator of her very life. You are the author and finisher of her faith. May she reject the lies of the enemy and humbly bow before you, her King, who loves every part of her messy, beautiful, simple, and complex life. In Christ name, Amen.

Peace and Blessings

…don’t last always! We all may have hummed this melody time and time again through difficulties. It may even sound a little cliche, but it is absolutely true!

Trouble has a stopping point, eventually things begin to turn themselves around and life gets a little easier, a little less complicated.

Trouble’s stopping point comes when we surrender, when we submit, and when we seek the Lord! He places all things into perspective. He provides a comfort that no one else can give. He is our hope! He has the absolute best track record-His defeat of death, Hell, and the grave is history-making news!

There is no other name under Heaven in which every knee-even trouble’s knew has to bow! We have this assurance in Christ that eventually trouble will fade, the Word says so:

Sin may be present but it is not our portion! Our portion is the forthcoming glory that will be revealed in Christ. Our promise is joy, peace, and power in Christ. Trouble is very present, victory is guaranteed!

Knee deep in trouble? Stand in your authority and tell trouble that it won’t last always!

The Assignment…

If you have ever worked for a grant funded agency, you know the importance of a well-crafted report that ensures that your organization remains funded. While it may have a variety of names, it’s ultimately an assignment. The assignment is to detail how your agency has spent its money, the successes you’ve had, and it lays out the plan for the next year or few years. Everything hangs on the success completion of that assignment.

This rings true as a believer. Your assignment matters more than anything else this world has to offer. It is more valuable than any amount of money that can be offered to you. And this assignment has eternal ramifications. All that you do hangs on the assignment. This is why it is important to know that you have been called according to His purpose that works out for your good.

What is your assignment? You have a plan and a purpose for your life. Whether you realize it or not, you have been called to do a mighty work for the Lord. This is the plan He has for you, to fulfill His assignment for you. Being pleasing in the sight of the Lord, is worth more than any salary you can bring home. Everything you do must align with God’s assignment for you.

The assignment is the goal, the mission, and the purpose. The assignment is the endgame. Everything in your life must be centered around the work that the Lord, our God, has for us to complete. This keeps us Kingdom minded. This keeps our sights set on Him. This causes Him to increase and us to decrease.

So we ask, what is your assignment? What have you been crafted to do for the Lord? Once this is discovered, everything you do makes sense, gives you purpose, and puts you one step closer to hearing the ultimate reward: “well done, good and servant”

All things…

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
Romans 8:28 NKJV

All things aren’t the things we like or deem tolearable or acceptable. All things aren’t always the open doors, promotions, or raises. All things isn’t always the friendships and relationships.

Sometimes all things are the demotions and the lay-offs. Sometimes all things are the disconnect notices, the closed doors, and the “no’s”. Sometimes all things are the things that annoy us the most.

All things are whatever God desires to use to bring Him glory. All things aren’t in our control or work out in our perceived way. In Christ, there are blessings and sufferings. In Christ, there is an beginning and there is an end. In Christ, you will hear “yes”, “no”, or “nothing at all”. And because, all things work together for your good and His glory, you must trust in Him and His ability.

His sovereignty can be trusted. His shadow can be trusted. His protection can be trusted. His provision can be trusted. His all things can be trusted.

The concept of all things can be a little scary. However, let the following truth encourage you as you know in all things: God is with you, God loves you, and God cares for you:

The Other “g”…

“You shall have no other gods before Me.” Exodus 20:3 NKJV

This scripture is pretty cut and dry right? And we can imagine what other gods the Lord was speaking of right? Cars, clothes, money, and other material possessions that only have temporary value. We probably are hitting all of the checkmarks there, giving ourselves a good ole pat on the back for not falling for those material things. And we should! So many people fall on their knees for these things, especially that money god.

How about the not so material possessions? How about the spouse we prayed for? How about that child we prayed for? Our parents? Our siblings? Or what about that due date for that bill? Or what about that biological clock that you are reminded of every time you interact with children? How about that medical diagnosis?

Have we given those people and situations “god” status? Are they the object of our worship? Will the world end if we lose those things? Do we, with our actions, thoughts, and words, ask God to bow down to the spouse, kids and biological clock?

An honest and direct introspection by the Holy Spirit may be eye-opening relevation for us all. Perhaps, at one point or another, we have all fallen for one of those other gods. We are suppose to honor marriage. We must honor our parents. We have to care for our children. That medical diagnosis is important cause we want to live and not die. Is it wrong to desire a spouse, a child, or to have our bills paid on time? Absolutely not! God desires to freely to give us all things:

However, those things, people, and situations cannot become the objects of our worship. They do not deserve the place of our Heavenly Father. Love your babies, love your spouse, pursue healing, pursue financial freedom–the Lord wants for us to receive the desires of our hearts! However, He must be at the center of it all. Everything and everyone must rest under Him.

Give your marriage, children, and career to the Lord. Your healing is first found in Him alone. He is the Healer. Medical professions are here to confirm what He does by faith and in the supernatural. Give every obstacle to the One who overcame the world.

Let us be intentional about ensuring that our cares, concerns, calendars, and clocks all bow to Him.

More Than A Conqueror…

Conquer: to overcome and take control of; successfully overcome; climb successfully.

That definition describes who you are in Christ! Let’s look to the Word:

You are no longer a slave to your circumstances, desires, and past. Perhaps you are wondering how to overcome, how to take control of, how to climb over the issues that having been plaguing you forever? Perhaps you’ve tried before and just couldn’t do it? Be encouraged! The way we conquer, take control of, and climb over is through Christ Jesus! Our victory isn’t accomplished by our “…own strength and power…” We can’t do it on our own. Our “help will come from my Spirit.’ This is what the Lord All-Powerful says.” (Zechariah 4:6, Easy to Read Version)

Being more than a conqueror permits you to overcome, which is exciting enough, but it permits you also to take control of (insert whatever it may be here…)! To take control is trusting, surrendering and submitting to the Lord in the supernatural and doing what’s necessary in the natural.

The declaration in the supernatural has natural responsibilities.

The declaration of freedom from depression and anxiety means you have to seek out the appropriate resources in the natural in order to take control of those issues.

The conquering of worry requires you to lean on the Lord for understanding and direction.

Overcoming a toxic relationship requires a complete break from that individual.

And you can do it! Being more than a conqueror is a promise guaranteed to His children because of the finished work of Christ on the cross! Our Father’s words never return to Him empty.

So sisters, stand in the power and authority granted to you by the Holy Spirit. Operate yourselves as conquerors! As a child of God, it is your God-given right to successfully overcome, to climb successfully, and to take control of. Take refuge in the identity established by God the Father. You are who God says you are, and He has declared that you are more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus, trust Him at His word!

My friend, “overwhelmingly victory” belongs to you (Romans 8:37, New Living Translation). Take hold of it and never let go.

Peace and Blessings
