Word of God: Abundant

There is a Word for every situation that occurs in our lives. Downtrodden? God has a Word for you. Sick? There’s a Word for that. Lonely? There a scripture for that. The Word of God has a solution for every aspect of the human condition. The Word of God is plentiful and fully details God’s amazing plan for salvation, redemption, and restoration.

His Word is abundant. His Word is readily available for all. He provides unlimited access to His Word. The Word of God has reached many nations and there are more that need to hear His Word. Abundance is God’s promise to His children.

There are many versions of this scripture, the Amplified version uses the word “super abundantly”. Superabundance is found in the Word of God!

We all desire an abundant life, right? We must start with the Word! How can we attain the promises of God without knowing the Word of God? Abundance cannot be found in material possessions, tangible attainment, or in people.

Abundant life can only be found in the One who is life-that is God through Jesus Christ.

Dethroned: Shame

There are nooks and crannies of our past that we do not want anyone to see. The enemy desires to magnify those dark areas of our past to keep us from pursuing our desires and goals. Essentially, whether we realize it or not, we place those dark things of our past on the throne seat of our hearts.

At the root of it all is shame. We are ashamed of the choices we made, the connections we created, and the consequences of our decisions. Shame cannot sit in the place that was created for our Father. Sister, shame cannot be magnified. Shame cannot take the place of the Lord and Savior of our life.

Sister, did you see the declaration of the Lord your God?! He says you will forget the shame of your youth! So it has to be removed from the nooks and crannies of your life! Shine the Father’s light on those dark and hidden places. Make Satan and his minions bow to the truth of the King! Shame has been dethroned! You are no longer bounded by the foolishness of your past.

We have been redeemed, sister. We have been set free as we declare Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Let’s dethrone that ugly face of shame. We must live unashamed! We must live set free. We must remember that we have been forgiven by our Good, Good Father.

For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” Romans 10:11

Storyteller…

Many cultures have a resident storyteller. For some, it is the elder of the family. For others, there is an designated individual. But the storyteller gives an oral history for the community, family, tribe, etc. They tell of the good times and of the bad. The history lives on because of the storyteller.

As believers, we should be the storytellers of our family, that assignment has been given to us because we have been redeemed!

“Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy,” Psalm 107:2

The redeemed (that’s us) are the storytellers of our families and of our communities. We can tell of the goodness of the Lord. As the redeemed, we tell of how the Lord, our God, snatched us from the hands of the enemy. As the redeemed, we must tell our loved ones about the faithfulness of God.

Will the redeemed of the Lord say so?!

We must designate ourselves to be the storytellers of our families. Why? Because we must realize that those under us, those with whom we leave our stories, will learn that they too can overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony.

Friends, this is why we tell the story! The story of our salvation, the story of how we stumbled, and the story of how God brought us through the rough times all point back to God our Savior. He is the Creator of our stories, He is the reason why we tell our stories and He is the sole reason how we were able to overcome. It was our testimony and our declaration that saw us through. The blood of Jesus cements our place as the resident storytellers for our loved ones! We are redeemed because the Lord saved us.

Redeemed, go on ahead and say so! Tell about how the Lord saved you, how the Lord spared us, and how the Lord loves you!

Peace and Blessings

Redeemed.

Redeem: to buy back; to get or win back; to free from captivity by payment of ransom; to help to overcome something; to release from blame or debt; to free from the consequences of sin; to change for the better; to repair and restore; to atone for; to make worthwhile

Free. Overcome. Repair. Restore. Atone. Worthwhile. Make it personal, sis! You are free. You are an overcomer. You are repaired. You are restored. You have been atoned for. You are worthwhile.

Those above statements defined who you are. Those above statements give a small glimpse into the amazing work of Christ. Those above statements must be reflected in our walk and talk.

My sister, you are redeemed. Perhaps you’ve been called many things, some good and some not so good. Your identity must be rooted in that ALONE. Let this characteristic shape your life, define your actions, and form your purpose.

Let the REDEEMED of the Lord say so!Let your life say so. Let your light say so. Let your work ethic say so. Let your treatment of loved ones say so. Let your treatment of strangers say so.

Don’t search too hard for “who you are”, scripture lays it out for us perfectly:

You are redeemed.
