The world probably thinks you are strange, holding onto, clinging onto-Someone you can’t see. Maybe even you feel strange every once in a while-believing in the promises of the One who you cannot see. The world’s rewards may look tempting but you have the best benefits this world cannot offer. Your inheritance is greater than this world can ever perceive. Beautiful beneficiary: your reward is not here, it awaits you in Heaven.
The benefits were experience in Christ cannot compare to the riches of this world. With God, through Jesus Christ, we have:
Peace. Joy. Love. Hope. Comfort. Protection. Safety. Power. A sound mind. Patience. Self-Control. Gentleness. Security. Wisdom. Knowledge. Freedom. Restoration. Redemption. Salvation. And the list goes on!
May we wear the benefits of Christ. May we exude the benefits of God through Jesus Christ. May our lives exemplify the benefits of Jesus Christ.
We cannot forget the good things the Lord has done for us. The world needs to know about the source of our hope, our faith, and our peace. Think about someone who gains an inheritance-you can usually see what they spend their money on-a new home, becoming debt free, and material possessions.
Beneficiaries: let us demonstrate our benefits! Let us live out our freedom in Christ, our peace in the times of trouble, and our salvation now that Christ has paid the price for our sins.
Having a rough day? Needing a reminder? How about clinging to this powerful Word?
When the enemy tries to tell you otherwise, whisper: “Lord, You are good and you do good…”
When you are reminded of past trauma, whisper: “Lord, You are good and you do good.”
When you receive disappointing news, cry out: “Lord, You are good and you do good.”
When that door closes, write: “Lord, You are good and you do good.”
When the one you thought you were going to spend the rest of your life with, shout: “Lord, You are good and you do good.”
As you start to repeat that simple line, Heaven will respond, Angels will be dispatch, and the Lord will smell your sweet fragrant of praise. As you declare that power over your life, you will see the good that you are declaring. As you shower that scripture, your strength is renewed!
There is power in repeating the truth of God’s Word! It’s not about shouting it on street corners, it’s about whispering it with tear-filled eyes. It’s about speaking it when you aren’t seeing good. It’s about crying out about the Lord’s goodness when you are discouraged and distracted.
Find yourselves declaring: “Lord, You are good and you do good.”
Let’s start by saying: there is NOTHING too hard for God, Amen? Amen!
But sowing is not easy work. It takes concentration, focus, and intentionality. Sowing often yields a beautiful creation-when completed with skill and love. This is how the Father worked when He created us-when He created you! He was intentional, He was careful, and He was focused. It says so in the Word:
You as the finished product is just as important as the time and tenderness the Father provides to you as He created you. When sowing, if one detours, if one uses threads that don’t match-it disrupts the creation, the finished product. One doesn’t sow with their eyes close, they are careful and driven.
You, beautiful sister, deserve attention, care, and focus. The Father deemed it so! This is vital to our identity as children of God. The world wants to tell us that our very creation is a “random assignment”. Oh no sister! The Father knew full on well who we were going to be!
He carefully designed the beautiful shape of our faces, our lovely hair, and our unique skin color. He knew every line of our fingerprint, the curve of our fingers, and the careful placement of the freckles on our skin. His intentional design of our ears and nose was not by chance but on purpose.
Sisters, know that the Father knitting you in your mothers womb, matter just as much as His finished product. There is nothing accidental or random about you-we are fearfully and wonderfully made.
Scriptures have been used to justify slavery, to justify belittling women, and used to condemn others. We wonder how the Lord feels about that? Did we even seek Him out? His Word is too powerful to be misused!
We can only imagine that the Lord is not pleased when His Word is mishandled. He knows that the Word is authority and we should know as well. It will do what He has commanded it to do. He is not out to see others enslaved, women demeaned, or people condemned. His Word is life and it has been used improperly.
Let’s remember that His Word is authority, used to cement the the rule and reign of God Almighty.
His Word is firm. His Word is settled. His Word is cemented. His Word is power. His Word is authority. What did God say about the matter? If He said it, it is so. We are to stand on His authority and His alone.
Our situations must bow to the authority of God’s Word. Our enemies are defeated by the authority of God’s Word. Our purposes and plans are found in God’s Word. It is His promises that define our lives. Before we research the world’s perspective, did we seek out the Father’s command?
The Lord’s Words are not empty, meaningless mumblings-they are life shaping, life forming, and life giving. God’s Word is authority.
Sister, you lack absolutely NOTHING! Are you hearing the voice of the Lord? In Him, you have all that you need! Now, we are not ignorant to the fact that there are things that you may not have and there may be things that you desire-but lack is not your portion. In Christ, we shall not want.
The world can make us feel like we are lacking all that we need, all that we want, and all that we desire. Remove that concept of lack from the seat of your heart. It has no place, it’s sitting in the Father’s seat. As His child, how can we subscribe to the lies of the enemy?
Sisters, we have all we need! We don’t have to covet the things our family and friends have, your Heavenly Father is the very Creator of the Universe. He gave us the most precious gift we could ever receive, His One and Only Son. Salvation is priceless, joy cannot be priced, and peace is freely given to all who profess Christ. We do not have to want for anything.
Tell that ugly voice of lack to have a seat! It has no place with us. Tell Satan that he is a liar. The King of our heart will grant us the desires of our heart as we delight in Him. The only One we need is Christ.
Every time the perceived notion of lack tries to speak: whisper this truth over you: “And my God will liberally supply (fill until full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
Fear cannot reign nor can it rule. Do you hear the Lord? Fear is not from Him. It can exist but it is not eternal. We all have something we are afraid of but it cannot have authority. Fear may be a natural response but we have supernatural power. The supernatural trumps the natural each and every time.
Let’s not give fear supernatural power, let’s not make fear an authority figure in our lives, and let’s not allow fear to sit on the throne of our hearts! Let’s be bold sisters! Let’s overrule the fear that tries to take root in our lives.
The Lord must be ruler, Master, and Lord over all of our lives. He is the One who frees us, He is the One who determine that power, love and a sound mind shall rule, and He is the One who has all power and authority in His mighty hands. Let’s toss fear at the feet of Jesus. No longer are we afraid! We are free-Hallelujah!
We don’t fear what will come: the future is in the Father’s hands. We don’t fear a repeat of our pasts: it is finished. We don’t fear our enemies: they shall be our footstool. We don’t fear Satan and His schemes: We, in Christ, have the victory!
Dethrone fear sisters! Let’s make sure that Christ alone sit on the thrones of our hearts and minds.
Such a powerful message! We cry out how much we love God. We exclaim about how much He is our Lord and Savior. We shout about how powerful He is, how amazing He is, and how He holds the whole world in His hands. But then we try to plan, we try to “help the Lord out” by doing it our way, and relying on our knowledge and power. Don’t fret, it’s not too late to recognize the power behind His name! We can began to fully trust in the name of the Lord.
Let’s try it out this way:
Imagine if we trusted God to be God. Imagine if we trusted Him to be all He said He is! Oh how our worlds would shift! As you trust Him to be God over your life, you will begin to feel the foundations shaking! You will see the barriers begin to fall, you will see the mountains move! We will say His name, but will we trust in the power of His name?!
We know His name? Now, let’s trust in His name! He will not fail.
Almost sounds like a oxymoron, right? Joy and trouble seem to be natural enemies of one another, surely the two cannot co-exist, right? Well, the Word of God tells us differently:
The Lord and His infinite wisdom gifts us with joy in the midst of our anxieties and worries. Yes, sister, there can absolutely be joy in trouble. Matter of fact, the Lord tells us to rejoice in sufferings! Joy in trouble produces much fruit: Endurance. Character. Hope. (Romans 5:3-5)
Anxiety does not have to be the final diagnosis. Restoration, freedom and healing is available. Trouble is not the end of the story. Trouble don’t last always. Worries do not have to weight us down, there is Someone who will carry the load.
Joy is in the journey! As we progress forward despite the weight of the world, as we seek out healthy coping mechanisms and courses of treatment-there is joy waiting for us. The Lord is waiting for us with arms full of joy. As we seek His face, He is showing us that joy is available for all whom desires it’s fruit!
No matter what we are going through, His comfort can bring us joy. Yes, there is joy in trouble and it’s found in our Father through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
