Spirit of Abortion…

Abort: bring to a premature end because of a problem or fault.

How many times have we walked away from a business, a degree, or a ministry project because it got difficult, because life got in the way, or because money got funny? We all have something we ended due to some reason or situation. Sis, we get it. However, we should NOT abort the very mission, purpose, or plan that God has planted within us!

Humans struggle with enduring, with staying the course. If the “going gets tough“, we usually stop “going”. People of God, what He has birthed in us cannot come to an end for whatever reason. We were created with a purpose and plan. If God said it, it must be so! In Him, we will overcome whatever obstacle that is in our way.

We tend to stay the course when it’s to our benefit, when we can experience the results in a tangible way. You got the degree, the house, and the promotion because you stayed the course. This must be true for the act of service God has created you for as well. The degrees, homes, and positions are absolutely meaningless if we are not doing what God has called us to do.

Rebuke that spirit of abortion that is trying to settle into your mindset! Stay the course! Endure! Finish the race! Continue to serve! Continue to develop that vision for your ministry, start the business, start the nonprofit, just stay the course! There are generations behind you who will thrive from your perseverance.

Our prayer for you is that you avoid the desire to abort. We pray that you stay the course, endure, and press your way through. May the promise below take root in your heart and may it manifest in your very corner of your life.

A Call to the Wild…

The wilderness is filled with God’s beauty and God’s creatures. Lions, tigers, and bears are often found in the wild, not to mention the creepy and crawling things. For some, they shudder when they think of it, for others, they are excited and quickly pitch a tent. Whatever your feelings are about the wilderness, it’s beautiful, scary, and very necessary.

Think about the wilderness in the Bible. The children of Israel, Hagar, Moses, and many others all experienced the beauty and the safety of God in the wilderness. Imagine the uncertainty, loss of direction, and difficulty that they all experienced there.

The children of Israel had no food and no water without God. Hagar was prepared to watch her child die. Moses saw a burning bush not being consumed. But each experienced God in their wilderness!

You will too! Do not run from your call to the wild, the Lord is waiting to meet you there. The wilderness is incredibly uncomfortable, filled with big and sometimes scary things. It can be dry and hot and it doesn’t seem like anything is growing. But fret not, for your wilderness will be the very moment when you are propelled to a new level in your walk with Christ.

In the wild, you’ll be able to hear the promises of God clearly spoken to you. You will receive power, strength, and wisdom! In the wild, you are aptly positioned to see the miracles God’s doing in your life. In the wild, you will be nourished and fed. In the wilderness, there is life, no matter what you see!

The tenderness of God can be experienced in your wilderness season. Do not despise this part of your walk. God is waiting for you there. He will be your food. He will be your living water. He will be your light, safety, and protection.

Answer the call to the wild.

Focus.

Staying focused on a task these days can prove to be quite difficult. How many times have you gotten distracted while doing a task? Distractions can be hard to ignore: a ringing phone, a chatty coworker, or a wandering thought-we’ve all been there! And once you attend to the distraction, at times, it can be difficult to get back on track.

We can probably relate to Peter in more ways than one: Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” Matthew 14:29-30

We must stay focused on our journey with the Lord. Peter got distracted by the winds and waves, haven’t we all been there? But imagine what Peter could have achieved if he just remained focused on the Lord?!

Imagine how your prayer life, how your bible study, and ministry life would be strengthened if you just remained focused on the Lord. The winds and the waves of life are so incredibly ever-present, but so is the Lord, YOUR God! He has authority over the winds and the waves!

He is with you, even in the midst of the winds and waves of life. As you focus on Him, begin to speak to those winds and waves, telling them to be still! As you focus on the Lord, tell your winds and waves that they won’t distract you from your mission and purpose in Christ. Cliche but true, tell your winds and waves how BIG your God is!

Just focus and walk, trusting Him along the way, with your winds and waves.

Arise.

“…I, Deborah arose…” Judges 5:7

Hi friend, do you know that your name can be easily substituted for Deborah? Try it out.

I, _____________ arose.

It’s quite the bold statement when you really think about it. Arising means that you will take action. Arising means answering the call. Arising means 4am prayer sessions and intentional Bible studies. Arising means starting the business. Arising means casting out demonic spirits. Arising means saying no to good things and saying yes to God things. Arising is decreasing so He can increase.

The statement sounds powerful because IT IS powerful. The statement warrants wisdom, leadership, and discernment. The statement involves a charge. It requires boldness and courage. Are you ready to arise?

Will you arise sis? Will you arise for your family, your community, and your loved ones? Will you arise for the generation coming after you? Will you arise to actively proclaim God’s goodness and glory?

Businesses and organizations are waiting for you to rise up. Your children’s children need you to arise. You’ve got what it takes! You answering the call will transforms nations, communities, and families. Do not believe the lies of the enemy, you are good enough, you are graced enough to stand up for God and to be ALL that He’s called you to be.

You don’t need anyone’s permission, you were made to arise, to stand, and to be bold for Christ.

He’s calling out to you, will you arise?

Power.

“And he called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases,” Luke 9:1

This truth for the twelve disciples, exists for you too.

You may feel powerless. Perhaps you believe that you don’t have control over what’s happening in your life. You may feel as if life itself is spiraling out of control. All are tricks of the enemy and lies from the father of lies.

You too, as you gave your life to Christ, have power and authority granted to you by the Holy Spirit which dwells within you. Do not subscribe to the lies of Satan! With the power within you, you can cast out the very demons that are trying to run your life. Satan wants you to be believe that you are powerless and that you are ineffective. He wants you to believe that power was just for the disciples of old, power rests within you too!

This includes you, friend! Your family needs the power that you possess. There are friends that need your power. Your prayers are powerful. Your kind words are powerful. The choices you make are powerful. Your love is powerful. Your peace is powerful.

The power that dwells within you comes from the One who created you! Stand on it. Rest in it. Be defined by it. Your power points to the One whom is All-Powerful.

Imprint this important reminder on your heart: “Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.Luke 10:19-20

Just Believe…

We believe that our cars will get us to and from our destinations.

We believe that the chair we sit in will hold us up.

We believe that our homes will still be standing when we get back to them.

We believe that our loved ones will come back home every evening.

And perhaps we take these things for granted and perhaps we don’t, either way, we just believe. And we have seen each one of the above mentioned items fail us in some shape, form, or fashion. We’ve seen cars not start, chairs break, homes destroyed, and loved ones pass on.

And yet, the One whom have never failed us, we struggle to believe. We struggle to find faith in ALL His promises. We struggle to stand on His Word no matter what we see. We believe the naysayers over the One whose word has power. We believe our eyes over the One who created them.

Will we just believe? No matter what we see, no matter what anyone says, we will simply believe our Father? Our Creator? Our Source? Our Savior? Will you let His Word stand above all others?

Just believe in the One whom is eternal. Just believe in God Your Father. Just believe in the One who saved you, redeemed you, and restored You. Look at His body of work, is it not enough to just believe?

Believing will change the generations behind you. Believing will birth that business, that home, that ministry. Believing will impact your friends, your family, your neighbors. Believing helps you wait for His glorious second coming.

Just believe and let the truth for Abram, be the truth for you:

Peace and Blessings

Lord of the Breakthrough…

Have you ever felt like you just keep hitting a ceiling? Perhaps you keep encountering closed doors? Or maybe you feel like you keep going backwards? Perhaps you just feel like you are heading nowhere fast?

Be encouraged. Tell your feelings to shut up. And know that the devil is a complete liar!

Friend, you are moving forward! Know that you were crafted by the Lord of the Breakthrough! You are the very creation of the One who moves mountains!

Do not spend eternity sitting at a closed door. Do not waste your time pinning over the loss of that job, promotion, or relationship. The Lord of the Breakthrough is right beside you! Knowing that the Lord is victorious and Him, and Him alone, is where our breakthrough lies.

You don’t have to go back! You don’t have to compromise! You don’t have to settle! Break through, sis! You can move mountains, if you just believe!

Break through those generational curses. Break through those perceived failures. Break through those naysayers. Break through that addiction. Break through those obstacles. Break through those shackles!

So how do we break through, how do we break free? Let’s look to guidance from the Lord of the Breakthrough…

Move forward, sis. Every step is evidence that you are breaking through!

Peace and Blessings

Rooted.

…to establish deeply and firmly.

Which describes you more?

He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.” Psalm 1:3

Or…

And they have no root in themselves, but endure for a while; then, when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately they fall away.” Mark 4:17

This introspection may produce an undesirable response, depending how honest we are with ourselves. Are we rooted in Christ, His Word, His promises, and His finished work? Or are our roots found in the temporary existence of this world? Are our roots in our jobs or in the provision of Christ? Are our roots in the roof over our heads or in the refuge of the Most High?

When our roots are in Christ alone, the devastations of this world won’t completely end us. We will be moved but we won’t break. We will encounter dry seasons but we won’t wither away. We will successfully survive the winters and thrive in the Spring. We will take the heat but won’t burn up.

Rooted and being established in Christ let’s everything around us know who we are and whose we are. Our roots in Christ represent where our strength lies. Our roots in Christ will feed and fuel us. Our roots in Christ support us.

Being rooted in Christ manifests this promise for our lives:

Peace and Blessings

Unspeakable Joy

Joy that is inexpressible or unspeakable joy is that glow that’s on your face that you cannot explain. It’s the smile you wear when everything around you seems to be falling apart. It’s the optimistic you have in a world of pessimists. It’s the peace you have in the midst of chaos. It is not depended upon your circumstances. It is not found in a human being. It is found here:

Inexpressible joy, unspeakable joy is found in our Savior. It is found in the One whom you love and have not seen. It is found in the One whom first loved you. It is found in Jesus Christ, who died for you and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father. Your unspeakable joy is found in the comfort of the Holy Spirit.

So maintain that glow. Keep wearing that smile. Be the optimist in a room full of negative and hopeless people. Keep focus on that mission, purpose, and goal. Move through discouragement and disappointment.

Let unspeakable joy radiate through you because it will be a blessing to someone else. Let inexpressible joy be the reason that you press on. Your joy points others to His strength. Let your joy manifest in your actions, your movements, and your deeds.

Let your joy speak for itself.

Peace and Blessings

Restoration.

“the action of returning something to a former owner, place, or condition.”

Renewal. Revival. Reestablishment.

We here at Sisters Helping Sisters don’t know what you’ve lost, what led you astray from that calling, mission, goal, or purpose. But what we do know is that restoration is in God’s plan for your life, for your relationships, for your ministry. Restoration. Renewal. Revival. can all define you and shape you on this last day of 2019 and for the coming year, God’s willing.

It is our prayer that God restores what you’ve lost. It is our prayer that He gently reminds you and revives you to be all that He’s called you to be. As you begin to wonder what’s in store for 2020, may He reestablish and enlarge your territory. May He blow your mind beyond measure, starting today and right now! May He restore your belief in His promises and His Word. May He restore your faith in His ability to work a miracle in your life.

And may this truth manifest for you:

“I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you. “You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never again be put to shame.” Joel 2:25-26

Happy New Year!
