Fight.

Fighting can be quite exhausting. All of that energy is exerted and fighting requires the mind and body! Sometimes, you just get down right tired. And sometimes, you just want to give up. However, our charge stands:

This post is not about a physical fight. This is all about the spiritual battle that we must face each day. This is about staring the Devil in his face and declaring that he will lose this battle as he’s already lost the war. This fight is about pressing on. This fight is about tapping into God’s strength and not your own.

This fight is about strengthening your mind with the Word of God to remain sane and focused. This fight is about strengthening your body with the Word of God to be able to withstand the blows of life. This fight is for your family, your friends, and the generations coming after you.

Fight for your ministry, your relationship, and your joy. Fight for your peace. The functions of the enemy is to steal, kill, and destroy. Decide today to submit to the will of the Lord and not the snares of Satan.

You can do this. You can fight. But most importantly, in Christ, YOU WILL WIN!

Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” 1 Corinthians 15:55,57

His Gift.

Jesus. Grace. Mercy. Forgiveness. His Holy Spirit. Love. Your breath. Your spiritual gift. Your loved ones. Joy. Peace. Patience. Prayer. His Presence. Your life.

We could fill thousands of pages and never touch on all of God’s gifts. In this season of giving, we can miss out on the One True Gift which is Jesus. But we must stay focused, He is the most amazing gift! And because of Him, we have access to all of the above mentioned blessings and more.

The gift of His Unchanging Hand is powerful and mighty. His consistency in a forever changing world offers security. His stability on shaky ground brings us peace. His faithfulness is the reason we have not been consumed.

And thank God that we are not consumed! We absolutely should be! Our salvation is an incredible gift! So thank God for His unchanging hand!

Thank God that He has not changed His mind about your spiritual gift, your ministry, your dream, and your purpose. Thank God that when our hands change all the time, His does not! You cannot be snatched from His hand. Thank God that when this world is rocky, His hands are not!

Thank God for this beautiful gift of His unchanging, steady, and secure hands.

Merry Christmas!

The key to greater works is your knee work! Prayer draws you closer to the Father. Prayer reveals God’s will. Prayer permits the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you. And in order to do greater works, you must be connected to God through prayer.

Greater works are those that keeps Christ at the forefront of the mission. Greater works is less of us and more of Him! Greater works strengthen and empowers others in the faith.

So press on as you pursue the work of the Lord for your life. You were created to do great things-so go and do great!

Provision.

Provision: God will provide for the vision. Provision. Dreams can be big and intimidating. They say if your dream doesn’t scare you, it’s not big enough.

As God is the Creator of the Universe, one can only imagine the magnitude of dreams and visions that He is birthing inside of believers. But yet, we crush those visions and kill those dreams as we wonder, how will it get done? And we wonder, who will provide for the vision and dream?

The Creator of LIFE is using YOU to do great works. And if He is using YOU to do great works, He will provide for YOU. He will cause doors to open that you never imagined. He will cause people to be generous to you for no apparent reason. He will plant people in your life with the same exact dream and vision.

Will you trust in the One who provided the vision? Will you believe in the Creator of your dream? Of your deepest desire? He planted that MASSIVE dream in you, will you trust Him today to do what He crafted you to do?

Plant His promise to you as you dream your big dreams. Remember His Word as you are blessed with the house and car. Remember the fact that He generously supplies all that you need.

Hold tight to this version of the above scripture: “God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:8

Wrestling Match…

Then he said, “Let me go, for the day has broken.” But Jacob said, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.” Genesis 32:26 ESV

Jacob is pretty bold, right? He is straight up wrestling with God, by way of a man. And he says, I won’t let you go until you bless me. Do we have that level of persistence? How hard are we willing to go to be blessed?

Jacob’s boldness should be desired. Some things have to be fought for and pursued vigorously. Sometimes you have to have a wrestling match. Sometimes you have to tell God, you won’t let go until you are blessed, saved, healed and delivered.

Wrestling with God! Pursue Him, walk right up to Him and receive what He’s so ready to give! He desires our BOLD faith! Jacob didn’t let go, you don’t either, sis.

Pursue that dream He’s planted in you. Fight for that relationship that is kingdom focused. Wrestling for that healing. Snatch your kids out of the enemy’s hands, by faith.

You might be tired of fighting, you may be tired of wrestling, but press on. Your victory is on the other side. Your deliverance is on the other side. Your healing is on the other side.

And as you press on, may this ring true for you:

“Then he said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have striven with God and with men, and have prevailed.” Genesis 32:28

Self-Care.

When was the last time you took the time to minister to yourself? When was the last time you took the time to fill your cup? This has to become an important part of our self-care routine.

Self-care seems to be a popular term nowadays. Most of the time it’s associated with napping, journaling, spa treatments, exercising, etc. And those things are nice and definitely can be considered key components of self-care. However, we cannot skip the most important part of self-care which is building up the spirit man.

You spend all day caring for others in some capacity, it’s time to take care of yourself. Fill your cups friends. An empty cup benefits no one. Your loved ones will not benefit from your “fumes”. Your ministry needs your best self. Your best self is developed with feeding yourself the Word of God. Fill your cup with the Living Waters provided to us by the Father.

The temple that houses the Holy Spirit deserves our attention. And as you care for the Spirit man, your physical man will flourish from the fruit of your reading, praying, and fasting.
So yes, get your sleep, drink plenty of water, and take those mental health day(s).

However, also read your Word daily, fast as led, pray always-this is where your self-care begins.

Eternal View.

How frequently do you view life in the light of eternity? This world will pass away. However, our actions, words, and behaviors will not. Your imprint leaves a legacy. Your actions can influence generations beyond you.

Eternity is in the Master’s hands and eternity rests in our human hearts.

We must consider our marriages and relationships in the light of eternity. We must consider our treatment of others in the light of eternity. We must consider our careers, our finances, our health-all in the light of eternity. But make no mistake about it, marriage does not lead to eternal life. Your loved ones are not your Savior. Your job, your bank account, and your good health does not cement your place in heaven.

If eternity is planted in our hearts (and it is), then our cares and concerns must be filtered through the lens of eternity.

Consider the woman with the issue of blood, her actions are etched into the Bible. Consider Rahab and her willingness to hide the spies, her bravery is cemented into eternity. Consider the woman who used expensive perfume and tears to wash Jesus’s feet, forever remembered.

Simply put: How you do, what you do, matters.
